The Brawlhalla World Championship took place on November 22nd which only included 32 players competing in a 1v1 format. Lil Capped & Ithrowow both qualified for this event due to their high performances throughout the 2020 World Tour.
This tournament was the first of its kind for Brawlhalla having an exclusive 32 player tournament which means no open entry, so going into this you knew that the competition was going to be tougher than ever before.
Ithrowow started out against Snowy in the first round which ended fast with Andrew losing 3-1 sending him to losers. His next matchup was against T1FF4NY who is well known in the Brawlhalla scene. This matchup ended up being 5 games with Ithrow falling short 3-2.
Andrew 'Ithrowow' Lim placed 25th in this event.
Lil Capped has been with Rectify Esports for a full 2 years now. This was the third time Brandon has represented Rectify in the Brawlhalla World Championships with 2018 & 2019 being in Atlanta for DreamHack, this time it was online which is different from what we are used to.
Lil Capped starts out in Round 1 against Kyzer and won that 3-1, but then goes onto face Hardymj in Round 2 which turns out the Great Sword gets the better of Brandon and sends him to the losers bracket where he'll face and win against Isidroo.
Brandon runs into Pier going up 2-0, but then loses 3-2 ending his World Championship run.
Lil Capped places 13th in this event.
We will see you for more Brawlhalla action in 2021!
